Police forces in Romblon were lauded for helping build a place of worship for local residents of San Agustin town as part of the strengthened police-community relations.

Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP), said the involvement of the local police of the San Agustin Municipal Police Station in the construction of the Praise and Worship Christian Fellowship House is part of the ‘Maka-Diyos’ core value of the PNP.
“Regardless of religious belief, your PNP will always be there to lend assistance. This is part of our core value of putting God first in everything that we do,” said Eleazar.
The Praise and Worship Christian Fellowship House is located in Sitio Agtasing in Barangay Binongaan.

The construction of the worship facility is also part of the San Agustin Municipal Police Station’s community and service-oriented policing system, which aims to establish strong ties between the local police and the community to ensure peace and order.
Eleazar lauded the Romblon policemen for providing the manpower for the construction of the house of worship and expressed hope that other police officers emulate their example in establishing closer and stronger ties with the community.
