Sixteen more Filipinos have left Kabul via military flight and are now in the United Kingdom while 13 other repatriates who previously exited the Afghan capital are now in Oslo, Norway, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed Sunday.

The DFA also reported that two other Filipinos have found their way to Almaty, Kazakhstan and Kuwait, respectively.
In a statement, the Department thanked all the foreign governments and countries who continue to assist and cooperate in repatriating distressed Filipino nationals from Afghanistan.
“This help is essential in enabling our people to leave safely,” the DFA said without mentioning the names of the countries involved in the evacuation of Filipino nationals out of Kabul.
While the Philippine government continues to monitor the situation of remaining Filipinos in Afghanistan, the foreign affairs office said an additional eight Filipinos have registered with the Philippine Embassy in Pakistan “but do not wish to be repatriated at this time”.
In its latest bulletin, the DFA puts the number of the remaining Filipinos in Afghanistan to about 32. As of today, 175 have already left or evacuated while 22 individuals have requested repatriation from either their company or the Philippine government.
“All repatriates, wherever they may be, who request to return to the Philippines, will be assisted,” the Department said.
Alert level 4 is still hoisted over Afghanistan exactly a week after the Taliban took swift control of the reins of the entire Afghan government.
