The Mayo Clinic website described Parkinson’s disease as a progressive nervous system disorder that affects movement.
Symptoms start gradually, sometimes starting with a barely noticeable tremor in just one hand. Tremors are said to be common, but the disorder commonly causes stiffness or slowing of movement.
To date, there is no known cure for Parkinson’s disease.
