Lotto games resume in Metro Manila, Laguna -- PCSO

Lotto and other numbers games have resumed in Metro Manila and Laguna on Saturday, Aug. 21, following the areas' shift to modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said in a Facebook post.

It also said that PCSO gaming operations will resume in Bataan on Aug. 23.

"Pursuant to the latest IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases) pronouncement placing Metro Manila and Laguna from Aug. 21 to 31, 2021 and Bataan from Aug. 23 to 31, 2021 under modified enhanced community quarantine, all PCSO gaming operations in these areas shall be fully operational," PCSO announced.

It pointed out that PCSO gaming operations in other areas will have to follow their respective local government's quarantine classification and health and safety guidelines.

Meanwhile, PCSO said a ticket bought in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte won the P24.3-million Megalotto 6/45 jackpot during the Lotto draw on Friday, Aug. 20.

The PCSO said only one bettor correctly guessed the winning combination of 34-03-09-10-08-32.

PCSO reminded that prizes above P10,000 are subject to 20 percent tax pursuant to the TRAIN Law.

Meanwhile, prizes not claimed by the public within one year from the date of the draw will be considered forfeited.
