Kris Aquino marks father's death anniversary with an emotional letter

Kris Aquino wrote an emotional letter to her dad Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. on his 38th death anniversary.

In a short video she uploaded, Kris wrote: "#BECAUSE… Dad, you were the FIRST one who truly BELIEVED that your baby was destined to become a "star" despite the impossible odds & all of mom's warnings… AND for being the FIRST man to ever call me "beautiful" patuloy man nilang ibato ang lahat ng walang kwentang paninira sa pamilya natin, HINDI ako papayag na matibag- because my HERO instilled REAL STRENGTH in me. #LABAN."

Ninoy, husband of former President Corazon "Cory" Aquino, was assassinated at the Manila International Airport on Aug. 20, 1983.
