Lexus’ future-looking mobility innovation and Salehe Bembury’s signature nature-inspired design aesthetic come together for this capsule that challenges the status quo in the automotive space.

“This collaboration was a new type of challenge for me. It is both challenging and rewarding to explore design outside of footwear and allowed me to think outside of my usual realm of design,” says Salehe.

The Lexus x Salehe Bembury collection includes three unisex items—hoodie, t-shirt, and hat—recognizing elements of Salehe’s body of work such as his logo and signature fingerprint design. As an emblem of a fresh and forward-thinking approach, the collaboration reimagines Lexus’ iconic logo, distilling its human-centric design into an apparel collection.

The luxury car brand and the American designer chose Champion’s Reverse Weave as the best apparel silhouette for the team up. To further highlight the electrification elements of Lexus, the collaboration incorporates reflective inks on both t-shirts and hoodies while the fabric is dyed dark grey, drawing inspiration from the colors of the Lexus NX exterior.

For the cap, the accessory sports an unstructured form and Salehe’s fingerprint design wrapping the brim while logos of the designer, Lexus, and Champion complete the look of the hat.
