Kapuso hunk Derrick Monasterio is in love, and reveals he cares for a special someone these days.

“Usap, usap lang. Good night, good night lang,” he said. “’Wag kang papa-gutom,’ mga ganyan. Ang baduy eh pero gano’n talaga ‘pag may care ka sa tao. ‘Eat your lunch,’ mga ganon,” said Derrick during a Zoom press conference fir the release of his latest single "Virgo" recently.

Derrick said it's possible that the relationship could turn into a serious one.

The dashing actor also said that he and the special someone are still in the "getting-to-know" stage of a relationship. He believes that constant dating could make their relationship work.

“Diyan makikita kung compatible kayo sa lahat ng aspects. Diyan malalaman kung ito na ba yung tao na mapapangasawa ko, ito ba yung babaeng willing ako makasama habang buhay,” he said. "Kailangan para makilala yung partner. You have to know a person—her flaws, likes, interests, dislikes niyo about each other."

This as Derrick treats his fans to a relatable dance track under GMA Music entitled “Virgo."

Composed by Alexis Ip and Adriel Zachary Yokingco, this latest single explores the dangers of modern dating as it narrates someone’s experience in associating their attitude and dating habits to their Zodiac.

Derrick points out that he's a Leo, nor Virgo, in terms of zodiac sign.

With heart-tugging and vivid lyrics, it will surely appease the current generation of hopeless romantics and will take listeners to a “feels” ride of anticipation, relationship limbo, confusion, and disappointment.

According to Derrick, he finds the song timely and close to his heart, “Title pa lang and ‘yung art, it’s something new and malalim, narinig ko ‘yung kanta, sabi ko ‘wow.’ Na-LSS na ako, kinakanta ko na siya. Nakikita ko ‘yung sarili ko dito kasi kami ito eh, generation namin ‘to eh, ganito ‘yung mga sinasayaw namin sa parties, sa radio. Sobrang proud ako sa song na ito, akong ako ‘to.”
