Caloocan Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan ordered a stricter implementation of quarantine guidelines in Caloocan now that the city is under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).

In a command conference on Friday, Malapitan ordered the Caloocan Police to conduct stricter patrols to ensure that only authorized persons outside of residence (APOR) are going out of their homes.
The local police, for their part, vowed to intensify its patrolling, tighten checkpoints, and strictly implement the other quarantine protocols.
Caloocan Police chief Col. Samuel Mina reported that 4,871 individuals were caught violating quarantine protocols during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) from Aug. 6 to Aug. 20.
Caloocan and the entire Metro Manila will be under MECQ from Aug. 21 until Aug. 30
