The Muntinlupa City government has already released nearly 50 percent of the national government’s “ayuda” or financial assistance to individuals affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
From Aug. 11 to 19, the city government has distributed P220,617,000, or 49.9 percent of the total allotment of P442,191,000 to Muntinlupa.

The amount is equivalent to 220,617 beneficiaries. Under government guidelines, the cash aid will be given in the amount of P1,000 per individual up to a maximum of P4,000 per family.
“Please be informed that the list of the verified and processed beneficiaries that was earlier released is only partial, which means there will be other lists that will be released. The distribution of the ‘ayuda’ is not yet finished, it is still ongoing,” the city government explained.
The Muntinlupa City government is using the mobile wallet app GCash in distributing the cash aid to beneficiaries.
Sec. Eduardo Año of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) commended Muntinlupa, Makati, Caloocan, and Parañaque for using electronic and bank-assisted options for faster distribution of the “ayuda.”
Muntinlupa and 15 other cities, and the municipality of Pateros have received a total budget of P11.25 billion for the cash aid. Quezon City has the highest allocation of P2.48 billion while Pateros, the smallest local government unit, got P52.41 million.
Cash aid beneficiaries in Muntinlupa need to create their verified GCash accounts via in-app sign-in feature and register their details thru tinyurl.com/Ayuda-ECQ-Munti.
Muntinlupa advised beneficiaries that they can use the verified GCash accounts of their family members as long as they are declared as official dependents in their previous registration.
