PH Red Cross vaccinates over 67,000 individuals vs COVID-19
The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has so far vaccinated 67,058 individuals against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Of the figure, the humanitarian organization reported that 63,176 people have already been vaccinated through its “Bakuna Centers” nationwide as of July 31.
On the other hand, a total of 3,882 individuals have been inoculated by the PRC aboard its mobile vaccine clinics dubbed as “Bakuna Bus.”
According to the PRC, its Bakuna Bus has conducted vaccination drives in the cities of Mandaluyong, Marikina, and Navotas.

PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Senator Richard Gordon vowed that the organization will not stop its vaccination program even during the two-week enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila.
“The 15-day lockdown set for this August will not hinder the vaccination program of Red Cross,” Gordon said in a statement Monday, Aug. 2.
“Gaya nang sinasabi ko, hindi titigil ang Red Cross lalong lalo na sa pagbibigay ng bakuna. Hangga't may supply kami galing sa gobyerno, hindi kamI hihinto dito sa PRC, magpapatuloy ang mga bakuna centers natin (As I have said, the Red Cross will not stop administering vaccines. As long as we have a supply from the government, we will not stop here in the PRC, our vaccination centers will continue),” he added.
