167,688 individuals fully vaccinated vs COVID-19 in Pasig - Mayor Vico

A total of 167,688 individuals have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Pasig City, Mayor Vico Sotto said on Monday (August 2).

The mayor made the announcement during the COVID-19 Incident Management Team meeting that tackled the preparations of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ).

The mayor said the total number of fully vaccinated individuals equates to 20 percent of the city’s population. Currently, there are 12 vaccination sites open in Pasig City.

“Our target is to consistently over 10K jabs per day, supplies are available,” he said.

“At the moment, we only have 18K available for first dose.”

Meanwhile, Sotto said the city government will buy more food packs for residents.

"We will purchase more food packs, but with 1,000 dedicated personnel, repacking and distribution take four to six weeks to complete for over 200,000 families," he said.

The city government of Pasig does not have enough available funds for cash assistance like in the first ECQ, he added.
