Tropical depression “Isang” is seen to unlikely affect weather conditions over the country’s landmass, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
The state weather bureau estimated the center of the the tropical depression at 1,160 kilometers (km) east of Northern Luzon as of 10 p.m.
It maintained its maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph, while moving northwestward at 25 kph.
“‘Isang’ is unlikely to directly affect the weather condition and bring heavy rainfall in the country throughout the forecast period,” PAGASA said in its 11 p.m. weather bulletin.
“The latest forecast scenario for ‘Isang' shows that the hoisting of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals over any land area in the country remains unlikely,” it added.
