A total of three million doses of the Sinovac vaccine have been cleared by members of the Bureau of Customs-Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA).


The huge cargo of vaccines, which provide protection against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), arrived at NAIA Terminal 2 via Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight PR359 at 5:37 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19 2021.
Documents for life-saving jabs were pre-cleared on Aug.18, or one day prior to the actual arrival of the shipment.
From the airport, all of the Sinovac doses were subsequently transported to the Pharmaserv cold storage facility in Marikina City for safekeeping.
The Sinovac jabs are manufactured in China. It is the most widely-used anti-COVID jabs in the Philippines.
