The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Substation Concepcion has conducted a hazard mapping to prevent possible hazards and risks for teachers and students at Concepcion National High School in Iloilo City on Friday, Aug. 13.
Personnel of the PCG Substation Concepcion participated in the activity to identify the possible threats in order to strengthen and protect the safety of schools even the face-to-face classes remain prohibited due to the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) threat.

“Let us work together to strengthen our disaster response and protect the safety of our schools, teachers, and students,” the PCG said.
The activity was also participated by personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (DRRMO), and representatives from different local government agencies.
Last July, Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said the government will continue to prohibit face-to-face classes even after President Duterte approved the school year opening on Sept. 13, 2021.
The distance learning methods will be sustained for the meantime for the protection of the students against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) threat.
