Bacoor disaster command center building on lockdown due to COVID-19 cases

BACOOR, Cavite - The city government temporarily closed the Bacoor Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (BDRRMO) command center building after six of its personnel and crew tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Executive Order No. 34 signed by Mayor Lani M. Revilla stated that the command center will remain closed until August 31 as the patients' close contact employees will need to undergo a two-week quarantine.

Despite the temporary closure, personnel in charge of the Operations and Warning Division as well the Planning, Research, and Administrative services will continue to function in the command center.

The office's Alert 161 rapid emergency hotline will also continue accepting and transmitting calls while the city's Ambulance and Rescue Services will operate as usual.

The city government tasked the Bacoor Philippine National Police (Bacoor PNP) to augment BDRRMO's rescue operations affected by the lockdown.

The city also placed Sabater and Malinis compounds in Barangay Molino III under total lockdown until August 31.

Three confirmed cases were recorded in the residential compounds composed of 46 households.
