The Philippine National Police (PNP) will conduct a probe on the anonymous complaint against Rep. Duke Frasco and Provincial Board member Red Duterte in connection with a private beach party that occurred on July 10, 2021 in Camotes Island, Cebu.

This was confirmed to the Manila Bulletin Tuesday, Aug. 17 by Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año.
The DILG has operational control over the PNP, which is a civilian force.
The complaint was received by DILG Region 7 Director Jhoaden Lucero. In it, pieces of information on what transpired in the event that “followed the Friendship Ride/Run sponsored by Team Frasco’’ were detailed.
The party at Santiago Public Beach appeared to be well-documented. In fact, videos of the event have been posted on YouTube.
One particular video of the beach party that was sent to the DILG Central Office showed several party goers happily dancing and in close proximity with each other. This allegedly violated health and safety protocols particularly on physical distancing and mass gathering amid the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
The complaint also claimed that the beachside revelry contributed to the significant spike in COVID-19 cases on the island, although this remained unvalidated.
It further cited that the party occurred without the clearance of the municipality and the barangay.
The anonymous complainant requested that the development of the case be coursed through social media or via the DILG website.
