PCG joins all-female firearms proficiency cup in Zamboanga City

In a bid to celebrate the important role of women in its service, the Philippine Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao (CGDSWM) has hosted an all-female firearms proficiency cup in Zamboanga City.

The firearms proficiency cup, initiated by the Police Regional Office (PRO), was held at the Camp Col. Romeo A. Abendan, Mercedes, Zamboanga City, on Saturday, Aug. 14.

The PCG said the activity aims to highlight the important role of women in the field of law enforcement.

“The activity aims to honor and recognize the crucial role of women in the field of leading the law enforcement and internal security by enhancing their shooting skills,” it added.

The Coast Guard said health protocols complied throughout the entire activity.
