Pasay City’s lone public hospital — Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH) — temporarily shut down its obstetrics and gynecology division for nine days after medical officers contracted COVID-19.
Dr. John Victor de Gracia, PCGH officer-in-charge, issued a memorandum order on the temporary closure of the obstetrics and gynecology services on August 17.
The closure will last until August 26.
He said services may resume on August 27 or the closure may extend up to August 30 depending on the result of the repeat swab tests conducted on the medical staff.
The medical officers assigned at the obstetrics and gynecology services had a history of high exposure to the virus.
De Gracia said the hospital is no longer accepting admissions and check-ups at the moment.
