A man died in a fire that hit a factory in Valenzuela City on Tuesday morning.
The Bureau of Fire Protection-Valenzuela identified the victim as Joselito Pelic, a security guard.
Meanwhile, 47-year-old Nestor Purtisano sustained second degree burns.
The fire started at 4:41 a.m. at the Gilvan Packaging Corporation in Barangay Paso de Blas.
The blaze escalated to third alarm at 4:47 a.m. and was put out before 5:44 a.m.
The BFP said the fire started in the warehouse of the ammunition factory and affected the adjacent plastic factory.
Fire investigators placed the estimated damage to properties at P3,000,000.
Arson investigators are now looking into the cause of the fire.
