MUP 2021 candidate Ayn Bernos reacts to mental health problem comment
Miss Universe Philippines 2021 candidate Rousanne Marie "Ayn" Bernos is trying to ignite commotion revealing how someone told her she must have a "mental health problem" for even thinking she stand a chance against "taller, smarter, and more beautiful women."
She clarified via Instagram that she did not join the prestigious national pageant because she fulfill the standards of beauty.
“I joined it because I KNOW I’m not, and it’s about time girls like me are allowed to try, too,” she declared.

Ayn continued: “Every time I start doubting myself, I always go back to my purpose: I needed someone like me on stage when I was younger. I did not feel represented."
“So now that I can do it for the next generation—why wait?”
She noted how there are kids out there who see themselves in her.
“If I tell myself I’m not good enough, then I’m telling them they’re not good enough,” she related. “I refuse to do that. So I represent."
“Thank you to those who understand and believe.”
Note that for the past challenges, Ayn managed to remain among the top 4, along with Kirsten Danielle Delavin, Maureen Christa Wroblewitz and Steffi Rose Aberasturi.
Recall that she placed second during the Headshot and Video Introduction challenges while declared fourth on Runway.
