Now Corporation is expanding its high-speed broadband service to key cities nationwide as more local businesses go digital.

Ironically, the pandemic hastened digital transformation, opening new opportunities for unprecedented revenue growth, according to newly appointed Now president and. CEO Henry Andrews Abes.
However, enterprises have not capitalized on pandemic-induced e-commerce opportunities due to barriers that include costly and slow broadband services.
Now Corporation, in partnership with Now Telecom Company, today (August 16) announced it will make its gigabit broadband service available in major cities nationwide.
The company is bullish about the prospect of growth in suburban areas due to three factors, according to Abes.
First, the government’s infrastructure program has fueled the growth of sub-urban economic centers.
Second, next year’s elections is expected to improve spending nd third, consumer spending is expected to increase as more and more people get inoculated, a boon to the corporate sector.
“All these economic factors shall spur the demand of gigabit broadband services, especially in key cities outside of Metro Manila," the NOW President underscored.
"Our strategy is to first go after the corporate, enterprise, and government market segments, which are more discriminating when it comes to broadband connection," he explained.
"Serving these market segments shall allow us to cement our presence in economic growth areas. We will expand where the growth is,” Abes added.
So far, Now has been providing broadband connectivity to critical industries, such as banking, healthcare, government, industrial economic zones and logistics.
Already, solons renewed the company's legislative franchise to build and to operate nationwide telecom networks for another 25 years.
"We have the technology to serve corporate and government clients needing gigabit service nationwide via fiber optic, fixed wireless, or even satellite and 5G," says Now Telecom president and CEO Engr. Rene Rosales.
Now Telecom possesses the most competitive franchise to operate a nationwide wired, wireless, satellite and cellular mobile telecom services networks, he maintained.
Now Corp. earlier increased its shareholding in Now Telecom from 19 percent to 24.23 percent, even as the latter is setting the stage for its own public listing and its fifth generation (5G) network rollout after the government extended its license to operate a cellular mobile telephone system (CMTS) service.
