The San Juan City local government has already distributed more than P30 million of its P101,794,000 Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) "ayuda" that it received from the national government as Metro Manila and other parts of the country were placed under the most stringent quarantine status amid the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic and its highly contagious Delta variant.

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said the LGU has already completed the distribution of "ayuda" in eight out of the 21 barangays in the city on the second day since the start of its distribution on August 11.
He said the "ayuda" payout system is the same as what the LGU used last April this year wherein all beneficiaries will be given their own schedule and only 100 individuals will be allowed to enter the barangay halls per hour to claim the financial assistance.
The mayor said that the list of beneficiaries per barangay is available in the city’s official Facebook page and in their barangay halls. He also advised his constituents to wait for the schedule of their payout.

Meanwhile, the LGU also started to vaccinate beneficiaries who have not yet been inoculated to increase their protection against COVID-19.

"Nagtayo rin tayo ng satellite vaccination sites sa mga payout centers para sa A2 (senior citizens) at A3 (persons with commorbidities) na hindi pa bakunado. Sa kasalukuyan ay umabot na sa mahigit 750 ng mga benepisyaryo ang nakapagpabakuna sa satellite vaccination sites ng 8 barangay na ito (We have also set up satellite vaccination sites in the payout centers for A2 and A3 individuals who are not yet vaccinated. As of now, more than 750 beneficiaries have been inoculated at the vaccination sites of the eight barangays)," Zamora said.
