Bureau of Customs (BOC) personnel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) have cleared the 469,200 doses of Moderna coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines that were delivered to the country Sunday afternoon, Aug. 15.

The latest vaccine shipment, which arrived at NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City at 3:10 p.m., was actually pre-cleared last Aug. 13 via the BOC-NAIA One-Stop Shop.
Aside from the BOC people, members of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) also took part in the inspection of the life-saving jabs upon its arrival.
Moderna vaccines are manufactured in the United States (US).
The vaccines were immediately brought to the cold storage facility of Pharmaserv in Marikina City for safe keeping prior to distribution.
