Joshua Pacio silences critic on social media: You know nothing of what we do

Team Lakay stalwart Joshua Pacio cannot help but respond to a critic on social media who commented on one of his posts.

The critic seems to question Team Lakay's performance and called out the famed Benguet stable of their live streaming for multiplayer online battle arena video game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

Pacio, Eduard Folayang, Kevin Belingon, among others were known for playing the game and streaming it via Truth x Lakay Gaming with former ONE heavyweight champion Brandon Vera.

In response, the 25-year-old Pacio said, "You know nothing of what we do, it’s part of our job, we train hard, we manage our time, you just type what you see on social media, you don’t see the hard work and the time we put in."

Many Team Lakay fans backed up the ONE strawweight king, with some saying to ignore those kinds of comments.

Another fan expressed sadness that this situation "only happens in the Philippines."

"'Pag analo, hey share in the glory, 'pag talo they insult, humiliate and abandon them. If you don't have anything nice to say, just bite your tongue and shut up," said the Facebook user.

"May chance pa kayang baguhin and maling ugali na yan? ambihira, kababayan mo dapat suportahan mo."

This wasn't the first time a Team Lakay fighter aired sentiments regarding their critics.

In a previous interview with the Manila Bulletin, strawweight contender Lito Adiwang reminded the public to be wary of their "hurtful" words, especially for those comments that are obviously below the belt.

"All I’m asking is your support. Let’s help each other. Now if you don’t trust us, don’t say anything. Don’t comment. The best way is to help each other," said Adiwang.

Meanwhile, Pacio has not fought since defending his belt against Brazilian Alex Silva last January 2020 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
