Bren Esports stays undefeated in Valorant SEA Challengers Playoffs

Filipino powerhouse Bren Esports shattered EGO of Vietnam with a 2-0 sweep to remain unbeaten in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Southeast Asia Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs on Saturday, August 14.

With guns ablaze coming off a 2-0 beatdown of Taiwan's CBT Gaming in the opening day, Bren took down EGO in the first map Haven, 13-9.

Jayvee "DubsteP" Paguirigan playing Jett led the charge for the Philippine Challengers 1 champion with 21 kills.

DubsteP once again stepped up to the plate as he came through with 23 kills and helped Bren close out the series with a 13-9 victory in Ascent.

The men in black and yellow tightened their stranglehold of the top spot in Group A with six points on two wins in as many matches.

Bren will just need a draw against Sharper Esports of Thailand on Sunday to secure its spot in the double elimination playoffs of the regional tournament wherein the two finalists will qualify for the Masters Berlin next month.

Earlier, PH Challengers 3 titlist Oasis Gaming settled for a 1-1 draw in its opening match versus CERBERUS Esports of Vietnam in Group D.

Oasis bounced back from a 13-9 loss in Breeze with a 14-12 overtime win in Split.

Meanwhile, PH Challengers 2 winner Galaxy Racer forced a 1-1 draw with reigning SEA king X10 Esports of Thailand in Group C on Friday night.

GXR pulled off a 13-10 triumph over the Patiphan Chaiwong-less X10 in Breeze but the Thai squad managed to tie the match with a 13-8 win in Ascent.
