Rags2Riches Inc. partners with IKEA Philippines

Championing Filipino artisans and providing sustainable means of livelihood, those have been the mission of Rag2Riches Inc. (R2R) since its establishment in 2007. Led by Reese Fernandez-Ruiz, the social enterprise does it by providing ethical fashion to the table. This time, the brand continues its initiative of helping Filipinos with its collaboration with IKEA Philippines.

R2R will be bringing its Sewing Services Station to the soon-to-open Swedish home furnishing store. Through it, customers can easily purchase the textile they want in the store and turn it into any piece they want in the sewing station.

"We will have a home in IKEA when it opens and we can make and customize a range of home accessories for you," Reese announced earlier this year.

Currently, the social enterprise is doing a survey in making their service a great stop for Filipinos' home needs. People participating on the survey will get a 30 percent discount, which can be used to select R2R home and essential items purchases.

The collaboration between IKEA Philippines and R2R has been in the works for four to five years. And in 2019, the partnership has been confirmed.
