Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez and Metro Manila Council (MMC) said all the mayors in the National Capital Region (NCR) have agreed on the issuance of a uniform vaccination certificate this month for their fully vaccinated constituents.
Olivarez said the Information technology (IT) experts of all the cities have been downloading information and the lists of inoculated individuals to the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) for the unified vaccination certificate.
He said the Metro Manila local government units (LGUs) aim to complete the submission of the unified vaccination certificate this month.
"All LGUs have service providers that are now downloading the information to the DICT to consolidate the data," Olivarez said.
He added that the unified vaccination card is very important especially to those who are traveling abroad.
He said Filipinos traveling abroad have to obtain the International Certificate of Vaccination or the yellow card as proof of their vaccination from the Bureau of Quarantine.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said she supports the issuance of a unified vaccination card.
