Don't fall for it! Public warned vs dubious websites advertising PCG job openings
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has warned the public against suspicious and unauthorized websites engaged in the dissemination of false information such as advertising job openings in the armed service.
The Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao (CGDNM) said it has monitored some unofficial websites that were releasing false advertisements about job openings in their unit.

“Unofficial websites like ‘Philippines Go’ and the like are not credible sources of recruitment information. All information not coming from the official CGDNM page is considered fake news,” it said.
Accordingly, the unauthorized websites were recruiting "vocalists" and members of "band and combo" for the PCG.
“Please be advised that only the official PCG websites will post information on recruitment and all unauthorized pages are considered fake news,” it added.
The PCG said the Coast Guard Human Resource Management Command (CGHRMC) provides the latest updates and other necessary information to aspiring Coast Guard trainees through its official Facebook page.
The official Facebook page of the PCG, managed by the Coast Guard Public Affairs (CGPA), supports the CGHRMC in disseminating information regarding the recruitment process, as well as in addressing concerns of Coast Guard applicants through.
The public may contact the CGPA for reports and complaints through the official PCG Facebook page or through its hotline: 0927-560-7729.
