Robredo now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19

Vice President Leni Robredo and a few of her staff at the Office of the Vice President (OVP) trooped to the Pinyahan Elementary School in Quezon City on Wednesday, August 11, to get inoculated with the second dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.

The vice president got her first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine on May 19.

“Second dose namin ngayon. Magkakasabay uli kaming mga A3 sa OVP pumunta sa Pinyahan Elementary School (It is our second dose today. Those of us under A3 category at the OVP went to the Pinyahan Elementary School),” she said in a Facebook post.

Robredo, who has hypertension, falls under https://transparentpharmacy.net the A3 category or people with co-morbidities. Though the A3 category started getting their vaccines in April, she took time to get vaccinated because of the meager supply of COVID-19 vaccines then.

She shared that the only difference now on their second dose is how their office driver, Julius, reacted to the vaccine.

“Malakas na loob niya ngayon, hindi tulad nung first dose (He’s very courageous now, unlike during the first dose),” Robredo said.

Julius apparently told her that the trick is not to look at the needle and simply give his right arm to the vaccinator.

The OVP’s driver previously didn’t want to get vaccinated and even offered to retire instead of having the jab. Robredo and the OVP’s staff took turns to convince him.

A certain Ate Lolit, the OVP’s utility person, was also apprehensive to get the vaccine but was eventually convinced by the team.

Robredo was all praises for the vaccination process since they were done with it in 30 minutes.

“Mabilis at maayos pa din ang sistema. Napakabait ng mga nag aasikaso na mga from QC LGU, doctors, nurses, teachers, other volunteers (The process is fast and organized. The QC LGU, doctors, nurses, teachers, and other volunteers were all nice),” she wrote.
