Paranaque City LGU implements blended distribution of financial assistance

Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the city government implemented blended distribution of financial assistance to 604,000 beneficiaries.

Olivarez explained that the P1,000 cash aid per individual or P4,000 per family is being given through face-to-face distribution or deposited to the e-wallet and cash card of the beneficiaries.

He said the city government received from the national government a total of P556 million, which is short of P48 million to cover the other beneficiaries.

The mayor said the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has already approved the P48 million supplemental budget and it will be deposited soon to the city government's account for distribution.

Olivarez said the city has adopted the blended distribution of cash aid to avoid overcrowding at the payout sites.

He also vowed to finish the distribution of ayuda in two weeks.
