Wednesday, Aug. 11, marked the first day of the distribution of cash assistance to low-income Filipino families in connection with the ongoing enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
So how are things going so far in terms of the payout process? These photos shared by the monitoring team over at the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Wednesday afternoon should give you an idea of how the different local government units (LGUs) have fared in the much-awaited distribution of "ayuda":

Each qualified beneficiary will receive a P1,000 cash aid, with a maximum of four beneficiaries from one family.
The ECQ--the strictest quarantine status possible--will last from Aug. 6 to 20. MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos said last week that the hard lockdown was meant to halt the spread of the more dangerous Delta variant of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
