The Perpetual Help Medical Center in Las Piñas, one of the three hospitals in Metro Manila placed in critical level, said it is intensifying its implementation of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) safety protocols amid the threat of the Delta variant.

The PHMC reached full capacity on August 10 due to the surge in COVID-19 patients.
Lt. Col. Richard Tamayo, PHMC president, assured that the hospital will be escalating efforts to consistently enforce strict protocols and protective measures against COVID-19.
Tamayo said the hospital will stay committed and dedicated to providing appropriate and prompt health care when needed.
He also said that throughout the heightened restrictions of the community quarantine, the hospital will continue to remain in full operation with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and surgical and rehabilitative services.
Tamayo said the hospital is strictly implementing protocols such as swab tests, hospital screening, hospital zoning, disinfection, vaccinations, and separation of COVID-19 patients.
