Jeric Gonzales on Sheryl Cruz: 'We're just friends'

29-year-old Kapuso hunk actor Jeric Gonzales broke the hearts of fans too eager to believe he and 47-year-old actress Sheryl Cruz are in a relationship.

In an interview, he told Bulletin Entertainment: "Hindi ko po alam kung saan po galing yung mga info na yan. Actually, wall pong ligawan na nangyari. I never courted Ms. Sheryl Cruz."

According to Jeric, he and Sheryl are simply just "friends."

"We're professionally friends du'n sa 'Magkaagaw,'" he reiterated. "Co-actor ko siya and I'm happy with that."

"Pero in terms po du'n sa love life na sinasabi niyo, wala pong ganu'n. Wala pong ganu'n na nangyari."

The topic was brought up after Jeric shared an update about his love life.

"Ako, hahanapin pa ang pag-ibig kasi wala pa. Pero I'm very happy. Single and happy," he said, relating that he is more focused on achieving his goals in life.

"Kung meron man darating, bakit hindi."

Recall that some months ago, when Sheryl’s longtime nanny, Ate Laynie, confirmed on the actress' vlog that Jeric is courting the 47-year-old actress.
