More than 700 employees of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Central Office have so far been fully vaccinated against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The DSWD reported that 655 more Central Office personnel received their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

The second dose vaccination was held on August 2 and 4 at the East Avenue Medical Center as part of the agency’s efforts "to safeguard its employees from the threats of the COVID-19 pandemic," the DSWD said in a statement.

The DSWD noted that on July 14, 86 personnel also completed their two-dose regimen.

The employees of DSWD belong to the A4 priority group as part of the government workforce.

As an expression of continued support to the government’s COVID-19 inoculation program, the social welfare department had issued a vaccination policy for all of its employees. The DSWD has more than 35,000 personnel nationwide.

The DSWD said its COVID-19 Vaccination policy provides an implementing mechanism for the profiling of DSWD employees who are eligible to receive http://hotcanadianpharmacy.com vaccines and for the conduct of immunization in accredited and certified vaccination sites of the Department of Health (DOH).

“The deployment of vaccines will be in a phased approach depending on the delivery and availability of vaccines and logistical requirements,” it said.

“In addition, the execution of the vaccination program will be in accordance with the National Vaccination Plan, that is, all frontline healthcare workers will be vaccinated first before proceeding to the next priority group.”
