QC gov't to cash aid beneficiaries: Refer to lists posted on Facebook, barangay zones

The Quezon City government has advised city residents to refer to the lists of cash aid beneficiaries only posted by the local government or their barangay governments to avoid "fake news" or "misinformation" that may arise at the start of the distribution of the assistance from the national government.

Mayor Joy Belmonte said residents should only visit the Quezon City government's Facebook page to see the list of beneficiaries as well as their respective payout sites and schedule.

The lists will also be posted in other conspicuous places in their respective barangays.

Belmonte added barangay officials will also release stubs or implement color coding, among other schemes, to avoid crowding and ensure that only a limited number of people will be at a payout site.

"Ang nabigyan sa unang ayuda noong Abril ay siya ring mabibigyan sa pangalawang ayuda,” Belmonte said.

At least 840,000 residents will get cash aid from the P2.48 billion fund allocated by the national government.

Qualified individuals will get P1,000 each up to a maximum of P4,000 per household.

The local government said indigent individuals or families whose names are not on the beneficiary masterlist can still avail of the government’s cash assistance by appealing to the grievance committee. Unclaimed ayuda may be redistributed to them after the regular payout process.

Those claiming their financial assistance should bring an original and a photocopy of their Social Amelioration Program (SAP) Form or QC SAP Form, and one government-issued ID (original and photocopy), it added.

The local government said it already coordinated with the police for additional security as "sometimes, there are malicious people who want to sabotage our orderly process of cash aid distribution."
