Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano has assured the city residents of a smooth distribution of cash aid beginning Wednesday (August 11).
Rubiano in an interview over SRO radio program Teleradyo said that they will bank on their previous experience of orderly handing out the cash to the beneficiaries.
“Gagawin po naming maayos ang pamamahagi ng pera sa ating mga mamamayan at iyong sistema na gagawin natin ay katulad din noong nakaraan,” (We will ensure the smooth distribution of cash aid, and we will adopt the same system that we previously implemented), Rubiano said.
The mayor added that unlike other cities which will tap information technology providers to distribute the money, they will instead assign disbursement officers to personally bring the cash assistance to designated venues in their respective barangays.
Rubiano said only those beneficiaries will be allowed to go to the distribution sites for the payout of financial assistance.
She said the beneficiaries will receive a call or their names will be announced through a public address system of their barangay.
The mayor expects to distribute P356 million to some 356,000 residents beginning Wednesday.
Aside from the promised cash assistance, Rubiano said they have also been distributing packs of rice right to the doorsteps of the residents since last Sunday.
