Kris Aquino endorses MMDA Chair Benhur Abalos' daughter's MUP stint

Kris Aquino is urging followers to support Maria Corazon Abalos a candidate at the ongoing Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

Why?

Well, for one, the beauty queen shares the name of her mom, the late former president, Corazon "Cory" Aquino.

"I don’t do this for just anybody- but when her full name is Maria Corazon (exactly like my mom’s) and our relationship with her family goes all the way back pre Edsa Revolution, plus her grandparents share the same initials as my dad (BSA) and my mom (CCA), then obviously alam nyo na CORINNE ABALOS has my full support for Ms Universe Philippines," said Kris.

The aspiring beauty queen from Mandaluyong is the daughter of Metro Manila Development Authority Chairman Benhur Abalos and Mandaluyong Mayor Menchie Abalos, a former Binibining Pilipinas candidate.

Kris detailed how netizens could vote for Maria.

"I have never been afraid to make my choices known and since we do live in a democracy pwede kayong mag disagree with me, but Corinne is a worthy candidate, educated in Poveda and she graduated from DLSU in 2019 with a degree in AB International Studies Major in European Studies. Definitely, hindi tayo mapapahiya sa Q&A," she said. "To all my friends & followers, i hope you give her a chance? #lovelovelove (heart emoji)."
