Raymond Gutierrez comes out as gay

TV personality Raymond Gutierrez has come out as gay.

Raymond revealed he was publicly gay for the first time in an exclusive interview by Mega Magazine for its August issue.

"I’m here to formally say that I am a proud member of the LGBTQ community. And it feels great saying that publicly because I am," said Raymond, as quoted by Kapamilya Online World on Facebook on Aug. 1.

Raymond, 37, is the son of Filipino celebrities Eddie Gutierrez and Anabelle Rama. His twin brother is actor Richard Gutierrez. His older sister is actress-beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez.

In January, netizens called out Raymond's attention for allegedly throwing a birthday party at a restaurant in Bonifacio Global City despite strict quarantine protocols. The event reportedly led to the closure of the establishment.

Raymond is not active in show business, although he is focused on hosting events.

In 2014, Raymond opened the Gramercy Cafe located at the Gramercy Tower in Makati City.
