Las Piñas LGU urges seniors to get vaccinated amid COVID-19 Delta variant threat

The local government unit (LGU) of Las Piñas City has urged all its senior citizens to get inoculated against COVID-19 to protect themselves from the Delta variant.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar has called on senior citizens of the city to get vaccinated, saying the COVID-19 vaccine will protect them against the dreaded disease.

She said all the senior citizens visiting the vaccinations sites will be assisted by health personnel during the registration up to the vaccination.

According to Aguilar, Las Pinas City has so far vaccinated a total of 428,208 individuals.

She noted that 42,002 senior citizens in the city have received their first dose, while 33,338 have been fully vaccinated.
