Take note of these road closures on EDSA, C5 over the weekend

The regular weekend road repair works along two major highways in Metro Manila will resume Friday night, July 9, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.

Reblocking and repair works will be undertaken on Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) and Circumferential Road 5 (C5) starting 11 p.m. Friday, as per DPWH-National Capital Region (NCR) Director Eric A. Ayapana.

Ayapana said the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has already approved the conduct of road maintenance activities along EDSA in Caloocan City from K0010+(-942)-K0010+666.

On the other hand, the works along C5 Road in Quezon City will cover the southbound direction from Katipunan-B, Serrano Tunnel, third lane from the sidewalk; and at the northbound direction before Rajah Matanda, third lane from the sidewalk.

Motorists were advised to take possible alternate routes due to the expected traffic build up in these areas.

The affected roads will be reopened to the public at 5 a.m. Monday, July 12.
