The administration of the second dose of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine in Valenzuela City will be postponed due to lack of supplies, the local government announced Friday.
The local government said those who are scheduled to receive their second dose from July 12 to July 22 will have to wait for several days pending the arrival of the new batch of vaccine supply from the national government.

This came after the National Task Force Against COVID-19 issued to local government units Advisory No. 62 which stated that there would be delays in the new batch of Sinovac COVID-19 supply.
Meanwhile, those who are getting the second dose of AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines will still be able to complete their jab on time as there are reserved supplies.
Citing assurance from the Department of Health, the local government told its residents not to worry about not getting their second dose of Sinovac vaccine on their scheduled date as a three to six-month gap between the administration of the first and second doses will not affect its efficacy.
