Pasig City deploys more than 250,000 COVID-19 vaccines; to close some vaccination sites due to vaccine shortage

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto announced on Wednesday that the city has already deployed a total of 255,343 vaccines against COVID-19 as of July 5.

"GOOD NEWS: We have hit the quarter-million jab mark! 75K have received their 2nd dose," Sotto said in his Facebook post.

The city has already given 179,679 residents their first dose while 75,664 received their second dose.

Sotto also said that they will have to close some of their vaccination hubs due to the inadequate supply of vaccines.

He said that they only have 11,000 remaining doses of COVID-19 vaccine for first dose inoculations. The city can administer 6,000 jabs per day.

The mayor added that some of the vaccines that had been donated to the Philippines through the COVAX facility could not be used for essential workers or those under the A4 category as they were donated with certain conditions.
