Ospital ng Sampaloc’s operating and delivery rooms will be temporarily closed for a week.

In an announcement Thursday (July 8), the hospital said its operating and delivery rooms will be closed from 8 a.m. on July 8 to 8 a.m. on July 15 due to the installation of a negative pressure system.
A negative air pressure system allows better isolation for rooms catering to patients with contagious diseases such as COVID-19.
The system also prevents “airborne diseases from escaping the room and infecting other people,” according to the University of Michigan Health.
The hospital told DZMM Teleradyo that it has coordinated with other district hospitals to accommodate patients that it won’t be able to accommodate during the one week closure of the two facilities.
