Over four months since the launch of its inoculation program, the Philippines has administered 12 million doses of coronavirus vaccines to its population, National Task Force Deputy Chief Implementer Vince Dizon said.

"In just two weeks, we have already administered two more million vaccine shots," Dizon said in a ceremonial vaccination event in Clark on Tuesday, July 6.
"Once our supply arrives, I think we can achieve our goal for this year with the help of our governors and mayors all over the country," he added.
Dizon said the delivery of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Sinovac shipment has been delayed to July 18.
He added that while waiting for the delivery of more vaccines, those who are scheduled to get their second dose will be prioritized first.
"Just like what Secretary Duque always says, full vaccine protection is important, especially for our senior citizens and those with comorbidities, so while we wait for the next delivery of Sinovac, we will prioritize those who are scheduled to receive their second those."
A total of 8,839,124 individuals have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, while 2,868,905 have been fully vaccinated.
The Philippines aims to inoculate 50 million to 70 million Filipinos this year to achieve herd immunity.
