The Pateros municipal government has vaccinated 71 percent of the target population with the first dose.
As of Tuesday night, July 6, a total of 35,015 individuals have received their first dose, equivalent to 71.46 percent of the target population of 49,000, according to the municipal government.

This is an increase of 8,106 vaccinees from 26,909 as of June 23. Pateros previously used the total target population of 47,619 as basis but is now using 49,000.
Pateros and San Juan, the two smallest local government units (LGUs) in the National Capital Region, are racing to reach 100 percent of first and second dose vaccinations. San Juan has a target population of 85,400 for the vaccination.
Pateros Mayor Miguel Ponce III previously said that he wanted the municipality to be the first in Metro Manila to achieve herd immunity since it is the smallest among the 17 LGUs.
The Pateros municipal government also announced Tuesday that it will resume the first dose vaccination on July 7.
“Tomorrow, July 7, 2021, the Villa Monica and PCS Annex Vaccination Centers will be reopened to administer the first dose using the Sputnik vaccines. Walk-ins will be allowed but priority will be given to those who have been scheduled and have received text messages,” it said.
It added that only 350 vaccine doses will be used for the first dose in each vaccination center and when the quota is reached, the vaccination will be stopped and people will be asked to come back the following day.
The AMC Gym vaccination center continues to be used for administering the second dose.
On July 5, Pateros announced that it would suspend the first dose vaccination due to lack of new supply of Sinovac Life Sciences’ CoronaVac vaccine. The suspension was also done to ensure that there would be enough supply of CoronaVac to inoculate people with their second dose.
As of July 2, Pateros recorded 4,686 confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases including 4,559 recoveries and 64 deaths, leaving only 63 active cases.
