The Department of Health (DOH) reminded the public again to get their second dose of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine.
If an individual missed their second dose schedule, DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III said they may still receive it within six months.
“Iyan pong pangalawang dose, batay sa vaccine expert panel ng Department of Health, puwede po iyan between three to six months, iyong pagitan noong una at ikalawang doses (Based on the vaccine expert panel of the Department of Health, the interval between the first and second doses can be between three to six months),” said Duque on Tuesday, July 6.
“Wala pong problema iyan, kahit na magkaroon ng kaunting delay, ang mahalaga kunin pa rin iyong second dose (There's no problem with that, even if there's a little delay, it's important to still take your second dose),” he added.
As of July 4, the Philippines has administered a total of 11,708,029 vaccine doses.
Of the total, there were 8,839,124 people who got their first dose, while 2,868,905 individuals already completed the two doses.
