Paranaque LGU receives 10,000 pieces of syringe from South Korean community

Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez received 100,000 syringe donations intended for the city government's vaccination program from a South Korean community in the city.

Olivarez thanked the COSMO Medical and the South Korean community for their syringe donation.

During the turnover ceremony, Olivarez was joined by General Services Office Chief Elisa Pojanes, External and Homeowners Affairs Chief Eva Nono, City Epidemiologist Dr. Darius Sebastian, and OSPAR Director Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan.

The mayor also thanked the city's other private partners for helping the city government in its fight against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Olivarez said the syringe will be used at the vaccination sites as the city continues its vaccination program.

He said that based on the latest report of the City Health office (CHO) and the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU), the city recorded a total of 230 cases.

The mayor said the city recorded 10 new cases on June 4, bringing to 22,054 its total number of cases since the start of the pandemic, 21,335 recoveries, and 489 deaths.
