Muntinlupa, Pateros suspend first dose vaccinations due to lack of new supply
The local governments of Muntinlupa and Pateros have suspended the vaccination of people for the first dose due to lack of new vaccine supply from the national government.
In an announcement Monday, the Muntinlupa City COVID-19 Vaccination Program (MunCoVac) said the first dose vaccination will be suspended for two weeks.

“Due to inadequate vaccine supply, there will be no schedule of first dose vaccination in the next two weeks, except for the remaining 56 individuals who were notified of their first dose schedule for July 6,” announced MunCoVac in Filipino.
It added, “Sending of vaccination schedules will resume once the new supply of vaccine arrives. For those scheduled to receive their second dose, please do not worry as the vaccines are already reserved. Please follow the schedule indicated in the text message that you received.”
As of July 3, the Muntinlupa City government has already vaccinated 151,664 individuals with their first dose, equivalent to 39.3 percent of the target population of 385,725.
In addition, 41,320 individuals are now fully vaccinated in Muntinlupa after getting their second dose, or 11 percent of the total target population.
On the other hand, the Pateros municipal government also announced the suspension of the first dose vaccination.
“We apologize for the sudden suspension of administering the first dose of Sinovac for those with schedules and walk-ins in all vaccination centers due to an order to stop giving the first dose in order to ensure the second dose for those who have already been vaccinated,” the municipality said Monday.
It added, “We would like also to inform you that starting tomorrow (July 6), the AMC Gym will be the only one administering for those with second dose schedules. The first dose vaccination will resume once we receive vaccines from the Department of Health.”
As of June 23, 26,909 individuals have received their first dose, or 56.51 percent of the target population of 47,619 of Pateros. A total of 4,095 individuals have received their second dose, or 8.6 percent of the target population.
