Makati City suspends vaccination due to limited vaccines

The Makati City government postponed on Monday its COVID-19 vaccination due to its limited number of vaccines.

In an announcement on Facebook, the LGU said the vaccination of the A4 (economic frontliners) priority group scheduled to receive their first dose today has been cancelled after the national government failed to deliver the vaccines to the city.

Some vaccination sites in the city, namely, Glorietta 2, San Lorenzo Place, Ayala Malls Circuit, Benigno Aquino National High School, and Palanan Elementary School are also closed today.

The LGU said those under the A4 category who are about to receive their second dose and other people under different category groups have been instructed to proceed to the Makati Coliseum and Fort Bonifacio Elementary School for their scheduled vaccination.

To further boost the number of people willing to be vaccinated in Makati, the LGU is giving away a gift certificate worth P1,000 to fully-vaccinated senior citizens.
