The Lipa Archdiocesan Social Action Commission (LASAC) is appealing for N95 masks as the Taal volcano continues to emit high levels of sulfur dioxide.

In a CBCP News post, LASAC said it already propositioned and stockpiled an initial 5,000 pieces of N95 masks but more supplies are needed.
"We are still in need of more. Our people need help,” it said.
The LASAC said affected residents need N95 masks “to avoid the negative effects of the sulfur emitted by the volcano."
The Lipa archdiocese already donated a portion of their supplies to the residents of the towns of Agoncillo and Laurel.
Many families have already been moved from their homes that are within the 7-kilometer danger zone after the volcano continues to be restive.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded an “anomalously high” sulfur dioxide gas emission from the volcano on Sunday, averaging at 22,626 tonnes/day— “the highest ever recorded in Taal."
The parameters, the Philvolcs, said may indicate that an eruption similar to the July 1 event may occur “anytime soon."
